Home

is where the HEART is... right?  At least for this couple it is!  I recently had the pleasure of being able to fly to my home state of Massachusetts to photograph this picture perfect Wedding.  Held at the Country Club of Halifax in Halifax, MA - everything was self-contained and the overall venue fee INCLUDED catering!  :-)
Picturesque grounds and a great little alcove for a ceremony, these ladies knew how to pick a great place!
Because of the laws in MA regarding same-sex marriage, the girls actually got married (by law) 2 years (to the day!) previous.  This was their chance to renew in front of friends and loved ones & really get to have their BIG DAY!
Enjoy some pictures:

Downtown!

I'm pretty obsessed with this particular Engagement Session.  true. story.
I just LOVE it when client's come with particular photos or ideas already in mind!  :-)  I just can't even describe this session - the pictures speak for themselves...

Oh Yea!  Did I mention that the Bride & I apparently attended the SAME college in Pennsylvannia?  WEIRD!!  (and awesome!) She, a few years later than I...but still!  So amazing!  Mind you, it was an uber-small state college in central, upstate PA (and we were both out-of-staters...) Anyway - fun little tid bit  :-)

It's A...

GIRL!!!!
This is my first ever "Gender Reveal".  My client had the Dr. do the gender sonogram, and seal the results in an addressed and stamped envelope.  The Dr.'s office dropped it in the mail and I got it about 3 days later  :-)
No pressure on brilliant, creative ways to tell a couple what the gender of their child is...

The session was SO much fun!  Dig It.

so I saw this Amish guy...

no. seriously.  I did.  :-)
I recently drove from Chicago to Pennsylvania for my old college roommate's Wedding!  First off, it was GREAT to see a few people from back in the day and second, it was AMAZING to see my Roomie so happy and getting married!  :-)
The ceremony was at a tiny little church built in the 1700's I think and was just stunning.  They don't make churches like that in the MidWest...
The reception was at the Myerstown, PA Rod & Gun Club, of which I didn't even know that there were clubs for guns before this.  The things I learn from clients...
Everything was gorgeous and it was just so much FUN!

PDB!

@Horseshoe!  Shot this show a little while ago.  It was a Wednesday and pretty low-key.  The band had so much fun and it's easy to see it on their faces!

ENJOY!

Itsy, Bitsy...

A few months back, I did my very first maternity session... Then the baby was born!
Little Liam was 7 days old during his first official photo shoot & I just had SO MUCH FUN with him!  It was so nice to have a cooperative and just absolutely adorable little baby boy as a my main subject.
Enjoy!

A Celebration!

on Navy Pier!  in March!  a brave decision, but my couple got very fortunate and it wasn't all that cold out.  And with an open bar all night at their Reception, it was probably warmer out by the end of the night to most of the guests.  :-)
They rented out a floor on the Odyssey II Dinner Cruise, everything was catered, there was a premium open bar, and major FUN ensued!
Her colors of BRIGHT yellow, PLUM purple, white, and grey.  Interesting choices that worked AMAZINGLY well together.  truly stunning & spring-like!
Anyway, enough of my gushing over this Reception - just look at the Picture Porn!
