{ Museum Campus ~ an Engagement Session }

Elizabeth & CaHontas were a BLAST!!!
We met up mid-afternoon and wandered around near the Shedd Aquarium and Soldier Field (where the Bears play!!) and snapped a few shots.  These two are so in LOVE and I LOVE IT!
From official Bears gear to cute outfits and an even more adorable ring/proposal instructions - this session was great.  I'm super excited for their Wedding Day in December this year!

{ a Reunion of sorts ~ a Friendship Session }

so Danielle is my old R.A. from back when I went to college (yep!  I went to college.  I didn't finish college, but that's another story...)  We both went to college in Pennsylvania at a tiny place called Mansfield University.  and yes, I went there because they have an AMAZING marching band, and also yes, I am a self-professed band geek.
WOW, off track there!  So anywho, Danielle was my R.A. - and by far the coolest R.A. ever.  I won't go into details, but trust me, she was the best!
A few of her friends moved to Chicago recently and so her and her boyfriend, TJ, decided to come for a visit.  Since graduation she & TJ have moved to Corning, NY - where is TJ is a DJ { yep. uses "TJ the DJ" as his official moniker } and Danielle is a photographer { http://www.dickerson-photography.com/ }

I took everyone to my favorite spot in all of Chicago to photograph and we had a great time!!!

{ the Buchanan's ~ a Family Session }

I photographed their Wedding last July:  "Converse & a Petticoat"
{ http://kateyephotography.blogspot.com/2012/09/converse-petticoat.html }

and here I am, a year later, photographing the whole Family!  and it was great!  (spoiler alert:  they had a cute little baby girl!)  We hit up the Dunes State Park in New Buffalo, MI on a rather muggy and foggy day in July.  Didn't matter.  We still had a wonderful time.
They're moving to Colorado soon, but now I just have an excuse to go and visit!

{ Navy Pier ~ an Engagement Session }

We met up to do this Session for their Save-The-Dates and wow!  the day was just perfect!
{Their Wedding was quite the affair... but those photos are for another entry...}
We started at Navy Pier and meandered through and around the surrounding area and just snapped as we went!
You all know that I'm not one for making game plans set in stone and it often results in the BEST photos.  There is a method to my madness, here's proof:
