Converse & a Petticoat

LOVE LOVE LOVE this couple!  Wow.  a very small & simple Wedding on a Friday evening at a resort & spa.  sounds basic. ( http://www.eaglewoodresort.com )
Not so much!  It was so much fun.  Seriously.  The Bride had hand dip-dyed her petticoat orange to match her color scheme so that we could have fun during photos.  You couldn't see it at all with her dress down!  The groomsmen all wore brand new converse sneakers.  The flower girl was the Groom's daughter & just adorable {and they even trusted me to drive her in the golf cart on the way to take pictures!}
Working alongside two Wedding Planners ( http://www.ureventurplanner.net ) everything went off without a hitch and the Bride & Groom had nothing to worry about!
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves - but I have to tell you...the cake topper is a custom piece that the Bride ordered from Canada! { Canadians get it right..again! }

a Multicourse Dinner & a Big Band

I met Connie & Nick a while back, when they came down to Chicago for a weekend.  They live in Green Bay, but got married in Milwaukee at the Astor Hotel.  The Astor Hotel is a great old hotel on the north side of the City and it's within walking distance of some awesome views of Lake Michigan.  The Ceremony & Reception took place in the same room, with friends & family helping to flip the room in between.  Simple.  Fun.  Beautiful.  Oh yea...and the Bride had about 4 outfits throughout her Big Day!  Connie's Family had hosted a traditional tea ceremony in the morning and she wore a stunning red gown.  I later photographed the gown, as I did not attend the tea ceremony.
When I met up with Connie before her Ceremony at the Astor Hotel, she was wearing a GORGEOUS white wedding gown.  We did all of the photos in this dress.
Before her Grand Entrance into the Reception, she changed into yet another white gown, this one a traditional Vietnamese Wedding Gown.  THEN... she had a little black & white short dress that she wore for swinging around all night to the 21 piece Brew City Big Band that they hired!  Just amazing!
The photos just say it all:
