Peeling Paint & Rust....

my client's TWO favorite things!  and I knew IMMEDIATELY where to do her Family Session!
The west side of Chicago has some amazing grit & old warehouse sections, and it tends to be my stand-by location for client's looking for "edgier" photographs.
With a Mom that is a photographer, the two girls are MORE than used to posing for the camera, and it was such a treat!  Usually you have to coax 5 and 7 yr. olds to look at the lens, ect... not these two!  Little hams!!!!

Sometimes I can be a stalker...

I had been "in" on this since the beginning.  A very nice & creative young man from Columbus, OH contacted me to see if I photographed Engagements.  YES!  I love doing E-Sessions and always love the randomness of someone far away contacting me to do one... however, this was LITERALLY an Engagement Session.
I followed the couple through Grant/Millenium Park, capturing their Chicago adventures, all without being noticed (by her).  He then popped the question!  And THEN we did a traditional E-Session.
It was such an amazing experience (and way more difficult than I anticipated!) and she was SO surprised!
Just a beautiful moment.

a hidden gem

If you've ever been to Milwaukee, WI - even if you LIVE there - you may not have heard of this AMAZING venue!  The Domes.   It's a set of 3 large greenhouse domes, each of which houses a different kind of climate full of plants!  It's run by the park district in Milwaukee, WI and it's just STUNNING.
