Rock meets Classic

and it was INTERESTING!
With Ralph Covert of Ralph's World leading the way, the DuPage County Community Orchestra held their annual Holiday Concert in a bit of a different style this year.
The only reason I even know or was in attendance (I don't have any children of my own) was because my husband actually COMPOSED a bunch of the songs that the Orchestra played behind Ralph.  Most of the songs were songs from various Ralph's World albums over the years, but had always just been played by a rock band, with the occasional non-rock instrument thrown in.  Well when Ralph decided that he wanted to perform with an orchestra... he needed someone to write/compose all of the parts.  Hence, my husband got a job.  (which for a composer, is a pretty awesome thing!)
The music was great, the audience was filled parents and kids dancing, and it was just an AMAZING time!

Thanksgiving 2012

and a Session to boot!  Seriously.  I did this session ON Thanksgiving.  It was with my Aunt & Uncle...but still.  Can't complain!  Wouldn't want to do anything else on Thanksgiving than take some sweet, sweet photos of my FAMILY!!!
Love these two (obviously, they're related to me and stuff) but I mean it.  I really do love these two and living half way across the country it's not always easy to see them.  This particular session was commissioned by their daughter however.  She actually ALL the way across the country with her husband who is stationed with the U.S. Army in Washington State.
This session was AWESOME and seriously a good way to walk off all of the food we had eaten a few hours earlier!

HALLOWEEN!!!

Literally, this Wedding was ON Halloween!  it was a Wednesday.  and it was AWESOME!
I started my time with the awesome Bride at her parent's house, with everyone getting ready together.  Great little details in the Bride's hair, on the dress, and in her jewelery.  Details, details, details!!!  I LOVE 'EM!  :-)
Once at the hall (both Ceremony & Reception were held in the same place), more DETAILS!  From specially commissioned wine chalices for the Bride & Groom to the trick-or-treat candy bar for favors - this was Halloween to the MAX!  It was great!  A few guests even came in costume  :-)
